Conduct an investigation collaboratively to produce data to serve as the basis for evidence, using fair tests in which variables are controlled and the number of trials considered.
TERMS
Conduct - the way in which an investigation is carried out or managed.
Constant - something that remains unchanged
Data - measurements or statistics used for evidence
Evidence - anything presented to support a claim
Fair test - a test that controls all but one variable
Investigation - a searching inquiry for obtaining facts
Phenomenon - observable events in the natural world (require explanations)
Plan - create activities for something
Prediction - to say that an event will happen in the future
Purpose - the reason for which something is done or created
Trial - one in a number of repetitions in an experiment
Variable - a factor that can be changed, controlled or measured
